HTML Form Elements for Photoshop
Whenever I design a website in Photoshop, I always spend more time than I should on forms. Most of the time I endup creating a quick HTML version and take a screenshot of the elements I need to compose the layout in Photoshop. It takes only 5 minutes, but that’s 5 too many as far as I’m concerned.
In order to streamline the process, a cheat sheet of all form elements with an easy way to change their relevant attributes and the background color would come in handy. So I made the HTML Form Elements for Photoshop. If you find it useful, feel free to bookmark it. It’s also availble for download on top of this page, in case you prefer to use it locally.
The idea is to setup a form element the way you need it, take a screenshot, and place it in your PSD file. Since it’s HTML, you can take the screenshot in whatever browser/operating system needed depending on the context.
Although it’s just a simple solution to a simple problem, if you come up with a useful feature idea, let me know and I’ll add it in. But keep in mind this is for PSD design comps creation, it’s absolutly not a form generator. If that’s what you’re looking for, wufoo comes to mind. I’m sure they’re plenty others out there…
