TextMate HTML Bundle Update
I just fixed an incompatibility introduced in a recent TextMate update that would make the HTML theme freak out if PHP was included at the top of an HTML document. Please not that I removed the shortcuts for the new HTML form elements (select, option, fieldset) included in the default HTML bundle which duplicated some of the functionality already included in my bundle. I didn’t delete those snippets but I like the way mine work better so if you want to have the defaults available via shortcuts, you’ll have to add those shortcuts back in manually.
The new version is available on the TextMate HTML bundle download page.

Thanks for this wonderful bunlde it’s IMO better implemented than the “original” one.

Thanks very much for releasing this, it’s very hard to find HTML bundles.
I have installed it, but for some reason the shortcuts don’t seem to work. In fact, if I go to view the commands, the “navbar” one isn’t there either.
I did download and double-click the file, Textmate says it has installed it, is there any reason it wouldn’t work?
Cheers

Hard to tell… if you don’t see the shortcuts in the bundle editor, it didn’t install… Check out TextMate Manual to see if you’re doing something wrong…
You might want to try restoring the default bundle first (see link above) and then try again. Make sure you save your own bundle first if you made some customizations!

Thanks a bunch and awesome screencast! To be honest I got textmate today and was starting to make my own bundle but now after seeing yours in action I think I’m going to save myself the time. Thanks!

I’ve found that this bundle jacks up TM’s ability to recognize a file that starts off with a PHP tag as HTML—something which is frequently necessary if you need to use the header() function for anything. Removing it is the only thing that seems to restore this functionality to normal.

@ khiltd: For the sake of clarity, TextMate’s HTML language definition has been modified in one of its updates and using this bundle would conflict with those changes, it does not “jack up” TM and only messed up the theme for the language, it does not affect functionality.
I just updated the bundle to reflect those changes, so if you re-download it, it should fix the issue you were having.
Thanks!
